The story of a boy who started chasing dreams and paved his own way to fulfill the dream of playing for the nation.
The journey of an individual who served the sport with earnestness which eventually led him to reach the pinnacle.
For him, cricket is sacred and it’s his only world.
Sachin has mentioned almost all the tournaments which he involved in. It was not boring to go through all those details. Indeed it feels very live and as effective as watching it on television.
Particularly, the incidents in the dressing room, friendly banters with teammates and opposition on and off the field are refreshing.
Needless to say, he mentioned about historic matches like Natwest series, World-cup and sharjah cup etc.
There are occasions while reading the book, I felt nostalgic and opened YouTube to watch his famous knocks & historic moments.
The amount of injuries and surgeries were equivalent to the matches he played 🙂
A few matches he mentioned in the book are still vivid for me but it is hard to believe the fact that he delivered those knocks with a lot of suffering.
The way fans perceive the game is different from the way players do. It depends on the pitch, climatic conditions and also on the opposition.

Little did I know was he appears on TV and newspapers holding Pepsi or boost.
It was only very later during my school days I learned about him through my friends which eventually made me a fan of his.
